How we score
100 points across five dimensions. The weights and criteria below are the whole method. No hidden model. No way to buy a better number.

Criteria
Dose adequacy and formulation
25 ptsDoes each active ingredient appear at a dose and in a form that research has actually tested?
- Active doses within studied range10
Compare each disclosed active against the evidence record dose range. Full points if all actives are within range; partial if some; zero if key actives are below the minimum studied dose.
- Bioavailable or studied form7
Magnesium glycinate over oxide, methylcobalamin over cyanocobalamin, KSM-66 or Sensoril over generic root powder, and so on. Award for the forms that were tested, not the ones that are cheaper.
- No undisclosed proprietary blends5
Zero if any active hides inside a blend with no per-ingredient amount.
- No fairy dusting3
Deduct if a headline ingredient appears at a token amount well below any effective dose.
Scientific evidence
20 ptsHow strong is the human research behind the ingredients, for the outcomes the product claims?
- Primary ingredient evidence tier10
Tier A = 10, B = 8, C = 5, D = 2, E = 0, pending = 0. Use the evidence record for the ingredient and form as used.
- Claims match the evidence6
Compare label and marketing claims with outcomes in the evidence records. Deduct for claims the research does not support.
- Supporting ingredients justified4
Do the secondary actives have their own evidence for the same goal, or are they padding?
Regulatory certifications
20 ptsIs the product legally licensed in India and made under recognised quality standards?
- Valid FSSAI licence on label8
Licence number printed and verifiable on the FSSAI portal. Zero if absent.
- GMP or WHO-GMP manufacturing6
Certificate for the manufacturing facility, current at review date.
- ISO 22000 or HACCP3
Facility-level food safety system.
- Additional independent certification3
Informed Sport, NSF, USP, or equivalent. Award once, not per certificate.
Disclosure and testing
20 ptsDoes the brand publish what is in the bottle and prove it with third-party tests?
- Full per-ingredient label disclosure6
Every active with amount and unit per serving. Excipients listed.
- Certificate of analysis available6
Batch-specific CoA on request or on the site. Verified in brand_documents.
- Third-party lab testing6
Independent NABL-accredited or international lab, not only in-house QC. Heavy metals and microbial minimum.
- Batch number and expiry traceable2
Batch printed and matches CoA.
Manufacturing transparency
15 ptsDo we know who makes it, where, and from what?
- Manufacturer named on label6
Own facility or contract manufacturer identified by name and address.
- Ingredient sourcing disclosed5
Country or supplier of key actives disclosed. Branded ingredients count.
- Brand answers verification requests4
Did the brand respond to Saayou's document requests within 14 days? Award in full when they did.
